Signing bonus - Nothing deducted from taxes
I recently received my signing bonus and noticed that it did not have anything deducted for taxes. I thought that bonuses were taxed very heavily (~40% or so) so will I just have to pay that tax when income tax time comes around? I also get some relocation assistance in the form of a check (not reimbursement), does anyone know how that will be taxed?
Thanks
Tax coding, tax year earnings to date? It's March, typically month 1 in the UK at least's tax year. Therefore you can't have earned anything else. No tax seems unusual. Contact HR imo.
The bonus comes in the full amount now, but it's going to be taxed on your paychecks when you start FT.
