Sophomore here. When should I start networking for MBB summer 2026 internship?

Hey guys, I'm a sophomore at a top target in the US and was interested in MBB NYC. We have a great placement rate but still I wanted to maximize my chances. When should I start networking and preparing for the interviews?

Management Consulting Mock Interview

“Andre was very helpful during the session. I was asking about my final round assessment centre @HSBC and he provided me with clear understanding of the role and division and how to demonstrate my interest during the interview. He also provided me with an understanding of how to structure my answers, the format expected during the interview itself (including how much technical preparation to do), and what other steps I can take before attending that. While explaining, he also provided examples of different kinds of questions to give me a better picture, and provided practical takeaways.”

Management Consulting LinkedIn Review

“Jaden has been incredibly helpful with reviewing my LinkedIn profile and supporting me through the application process. I really appreciate the time he takes to catch up with me, understand my current pace, and offer guidance that feels relevant to where I am right now. His feedback has helped me feel more confident about how I present myself and approach applications. It has been reassuring to have someone so approachable, supportive, and willing to help me keep moving forward at a pace that suits me.”
