Sophomore Undergrad - Low GPA -> Looking for boutique consulting firm

Hello All,

I am currently an undergrad at a decent school (top-20 USNews) , and a solid undergrad business program. However...my gpa is dismal ~2.8 or so, with a major GPA of ~3.1. I am looking to go into consulting in the future, so I would love to have the opportunity to intern this summer at a boutique consulting firm...however many of them do not even offer internships on their websites to undergrads, especially sophomores. what would be your advice in trying to land a spot with a boutique? It doesn't have to be like vault-20 material, anything reasonable would be fine as I am simply trying to gain experience with the gpa that i have. Thanks for the input!
