State of Monitor Deloitte in 2021

Spoken with a few consultants from Monitor/Strategy & Business Design @ Deloitte and heard many are unhappy with their firm and culture and pay now. Is this because Deloitte is pushing Monitor folks to integrate within Deloitte Consulting?

Also curious to why Monitor Deloitte pays the same as regular Deloitte Consulting in Canada now (65k base). Seems really low compared to other strategy shops and even some of the other Big 4 consulting arms here.

What Monitor Deloitte in Toronto pays 65k CAD base? That's the equivalent of 50k USD, oh my so low. Probably non-strategy consulting arms of Big 4 pay a similar base.. Do you have any insights on the bonus? I was thinking of switching from IB to Consulting but man taking that kind of haircut on my pay, while working only slightly better hours, would suck. Btw your profile says Associate Consultant, so should I assume that you wouldn't be given credit for your experience and brought in as a first-year analyst at Monitor?

Can confirm that friends at Monitor are paid 65K CAD base as part of firm's initiative to integrate Monitor into the rest of Deloitte consulting. Not sure about bonuses usually but heard Deloitte didn't have bonuses this year & forced a bunch of ppl to take extra vacation days lol

wow that sucks, heard monitor deloitte start dates got pushed back a lot in 2020 and even the incoming FTs in Toronto got slight push backs...
