Strat Consulting Lifers - how much can you potentially make?
Suppose I were to decide to become a consulting lifer and take 10 years to reach partner level with a PnL. How much would my total earnings be? Are we talking millions like the bankers? Are the bonuses of strat consultants quite good the higher you climb the ladder?

Yes, millions are certainly possible. I work at a reputable boutique and our US Partners make between $1-1.5M overall compensation. T2 and MBB Partners will likely be more than that. Ultimately it depends on your sales experience. I doubt any firm has a base salary that exceeds $500K. The rest is up to you. I used to work at a firm where the average project size was $250K and Partners got 10% of their project sales (significantly below T2s or MBB), but rainmakers still managed to pull $2-3M in total compensation just by selling loads. You can do the same.
There was a PDF from Geometric Wealth Advisors talking about financial planning for Partners at Bain and their graph implied that Bain Partners have a >$20M net worth at 50. It was circulated on WSO a while back.
