Switching to Management Consulting

Hello,
I am an MSc graduate who has been working in psychology and neuroscience research for the last two years. However, I have been considering switching careers to Management Consulting as I am in need of something fast paced and I want to see actual results. However, I recently changed my job and lost a lot of time which I should have used researching and applying to grad schemes. There are a few of them still open (PWC, Deloitte..). But I have literally a week to submit an application. Do you have any advice on how to approach the research into the companies effectively? Any websites, threads, etc recommendations would be greatly appreciated? Examples from your own experience as well!
I just want to do this very quickly and efficiently so I need your help.
Thank you
