T2 FT Consulting Recruiting

Are T2 Consulting firms (Oliver Wyman, Accenture, Strategy&, EYP) recruiting this year for full-time? The latter 3 haven't recruited these past 2 years...it seems like the market is pretty brutal. OW recruited last year but haven't heard anything about them this year. Does anybody have a pulse on what's going on?

Based on the most helpful WSO content, here's what you need to know about T2 consulting firms' full-time recruiting:

  1. Oliver Wyman (OW):

    • OW has been known to recruit early. For instance, they had early deadlines in previous years, often being one of the first among T2 and MBB firms to lock in applicants.
    • There is no specific update for this year, but historically, they have been active in recruiting.
  2. Accenture Strategy:

    • Accenture Strategy has been involved in recruiting, but there have been instances where strategy analysts turned down offers from T2 competitors. Lateral moves to MBB are rare and difficult at the analyst level.
  3. Strategy&:

    • Strategy& has a strong deals practice and has been active in recruiting. They focus on a few hires rather than many, emphasizing direct mentoring of younger hires.
  4. EY-Parthenon (EYP):

    • EYP has strong corporate strategy verticals and has been active in the PE DD space. They have been part of the T2 firms that recruit actively.

The market has indeed been challenging, and some firms may have slowed down their hiring processes. However, the specific details for this year might not be fully available yet. Keep an eye on their official recruitment pages and networking events for the most current information.
