Tier 2 Firm vs Google

Hi all!

First thread on WSO!

Goal after University: Start my own Business someday, and therefore am trying spend the next few years learning as much as I can.

Background: I'm in my final year and had recently interned at Google over the summer in their Business side. They have offered me a graduate role in something that I'm not too keen on - this is due to the size of the office in my country is quite small.

However, I've also got a graduate offer at a Tier 2 (S&/OW/ATK etc) as I only made first round at MBB.

I'd be keen to join Google's Strategy team to help build those key business skills. However, having discussions with Google's recruitment team, it is apprently hard to transfer into that team due to the skills I'd lack being in the offered grad role.

What would everyone reccomend I explore further to make a decision!

Join Google and network my way around? Join Tier 2 then transfer back to google in a couple years? Tier 2 Consulting > MBA > Google in a bigger office?

Thanks :)

Easily the consulting offer.

If this were about the APM or APMM or a technical program, it'd be a different discussion. A "business" grad role at google is mostly sales and customer service.

Was obsessed with finance, now do product in tech
