Tier 2 Internship to MBB FT

Hi Monkeys,

I'm a rising undergrad senior at a semi-target (3.7 GPA, 2310 SAT, 35 ACT) who's interning at a T2 (LEK, Deloitte S&O, Strategy&, OW), and am looking to re-recruit at MBB this fall.

I've never applied to MBB, but now I'm looking to go there full time - what should I be doing between now and the time I submit my applications? Should I reach out to recruiters, ask for informational interviews, etc.? What things should I be aware of, and what sorts of questions should I be prepared for going in?

Also, I probably won't have time to prep for cases until my internship ends (August) - what resources do you recommend? And will my full-time offer expire before I can get a decision from an MBB? Thanks in advance for the advice.

Hey, congrats ont he T2 offer for this summer. Between then and now I would focus on networking. It helps and combined with having a T2 on your CV it should help land an interview. Once at the interview stage it'll be very similar to T2 interviews; why MBB? why consulting? why the move from T2 to MBB blah blah. Cases will also be very similar but you'll be doing case work all summer!

Forgive me for being underinformed, but what's the advantage of reaching out to associates over recruiters? Do associates actually have a say in the process?
