UK to USA transfer - best way?

Firstly, fully aware that now is absolutely not the ideal time to attempt to transfer into a role into the USA from abroad. That being said, I’m keen to explore it in 2026 (let’s hypothetically assume things get better by then). Have multiple reasons why, lifestyle, family (can’t get sponsored by them though) etc.

What’s the best way to do this? Currently a strategy consultant (manager/senior manager level) at a T2 doing CDDs and corp strat.

From what I can see from Google, an L1A is by far and away the easiest option (arguably the only realistic option) and H1B is a crapshoot that takes the best part of 12 months to sort. Is that right - am I missing anything? Advice is very much appreciated.
