Can anyone shed light on the recent hiring spree going on at Wayfair? From what I hear they're poaching left and right from MBB and Big 4 consulting. But what I can't figure out is why are MBB/Big 4 consultants leaving? Glassdoor shows the pay is crap and the culture is toxic - what am I missing? Seems like a big step back. I have a call with a recruiter this week, what should I expect? Surely there's a reason they're able to get MBB talent. Any thoughts?

Not sure the crap pay is correct. Check transparentcareer. All in with stock comp looks equivalent to post-MBA consulting.
