What firms truly value wlb and still have decent comp?
Churning long hours lately has me feeling burnt out. Are there any firms that are in the financial services/Rx consulting area that have good wlb (50hrs/week), without sacrificing too much on the comp side?
At UBS, I heard some weeks are incredibly light (like 50 hours) when deal flow slows down because their large ass groups
Is this in their consulting groups or their banking groups?
I'm curious as well, but fear the answer may not exist. The nature of work in Rx leads to more hours, the same as how PE DDs are usually 70-80 hrs whereas other business strategy work could be as low as 45 or as high as 60.
If anyone far more senior than myself has any insights on this, I'd love to hear it.

Econ consulting average hours are around 50 at most firms, but fluctuates wildly from 20 to 80 (usually max two weeks in the 70-80 range per year)
Check out corporate strategy in FS. Most big companies have a pretty sizable strategy group and the hours are apparently pretty relaxed
