What to say to someone on the inside?
Say you did your networking and someone hooked you up with someone on the inside (MBB) with hiring capabilities, what do you say during the first phone call?
In my experience, it is more important to show why you deserve an interview. Email this person a copy of your resume, and be ready to talk up yourself. Only once you prove your mettle and your candidacy will this person on the 'inside' go ahead and try and schedule an interview for you. if all you're doing is asking for a favor, you won't get anywhere.
