Where do business analysts at Capital One/ Bank of America stack up?
I've got offers from these two places, since I didn't get in the game early enough to shoot for MBB or even Deloitte, and was curious where they rank and the kind of respect they get. The salaries seem to be competitive, but curious about name recognition and future opportunities from these places.
Interview business analyst preparation available.
Business Analyst is like BO/Corporate Finance. I would probably pick BoA because of the name and opportunity to network from within the company. Capital One makes me thing of credit card or whatever. BoA makes me think of a bank. Which one pays more?
They both pay around 65k, with 10k signing bonus.
Are the business analysts based out of Richmond or D.C.?
Capital One has a pretty respected business analyst program. I hear it positions people well for top business schools.
Personally, Capital One sounds better b/c you are dealing with credit card pricing/strategy, which can get fairly quantitative. not sure what you'd be doing with BoA
Richmond (you also can choose Plano, TX)
I'm not aware of any undergraduate programs for Capital One in D.C.
This particular offer would be in Plano, TX
i have an interview coming up in McLean for cap one, could you provide me with any advice, and the structure of the interviewing process? thanks.
go with capital one. it's a more established and better known training program. also, the BofA "brand" won't really help you here, because you'll be considered to be MO when you apply to the same jobs and business school programs that all the other BofA "FO" people will be applying to as well in 2 or 3 years. on the other hand, you won't have the same problem coming out of cap one.
Is this typical?? B of A Business Analyst earning a $10k bonus upon signing?
Where can this job lead too?
And BA for B of A doing what kind of work?
