Would you say the firm brand or training is more signficnat to optimise for exits?

Obviously you wanna have both. But common sense tells me to identify the consulting companies in London (let that be MBB or the boutiques) and instead of rank them on prestige but rather rank them on quality of managers / learning opportunities. Which will make me more valuable to exits to industry and/or as a M and so on to path to partner.

Is this me overthinking? Or do the prestigious firms have the best quality managers too?
