Whats going on,
I'm currently an undergrad senior in the process of interviewing for a FT Analyst position at a boutique energy consulting firm. HR has requested that I send them a writing sample that demonstrates my analytical abilities, there was no mention of a particular topic. Much of the coursework/papers I've written in school have revolved around the typical financial analysis of a company.
I'm not quite sure what to send them so I wanted to hear some outside opinions. I'm hesitate to write about anything similar to the work they do in the energy industry in fear of getting smoked during a Q&A.
