Anyone have experience interviewing for these firms?

Hi,

I’m a sophomore and I have sent in an app and interviewed first round for these firms. Does any one have experience or an outlook for these firms? And are these viable for me to do sophomore summer?:

  • Polaris’ finance jntern program
  • J&J’s accounting & finance intern program
  • Microsoft’s Finance intern program
  • Amazon’s Finance intern or rotation program
  • Petsmart’s finance intern program
  • Kiewit’s Business analyst intern program

Hi There,

I know I'm familiar with Microsoft's and Amazon's program. Microsoft's is more competitive in terms of candidates and comp. Amazon's program (AFRP) is pretty new and is modeled of Microsoft's. Amazon's culture is a bit more hectic and fast-paced than Microsoft's, which is good and bad: More hours, but possibly more impact.

As for snagging one of these sophomore year, I would say your chances are low. If this is a goal of yours, I recommend interning at a small tech startup. Amazon LOVES that kind of story. You could also apply as a junior and then mysteriously add a minor to extend your graduation date.
