auditor in hell

In need of some advise! I’m an audit associate at a Big 4 firm wanting to switch over into an M&a/corporate finance role (preferably at another big 4 as I’ve read it’s easier to switch over than to transfer internally). Currently almost done with my 3rd busy season and don’t want to be here for another. I have the feeling I’m losing out on experience by not applying for/switching into one of these roles asap and I can see myself doing this long term as a career. Still working on getting my CPA (1/4 done) which I figured will play a part into how much easier it’ll be to switch over but I just needed some advise from anyone who’s done this as I feel the window closing fast and would love to hear some career stories from y’all
