Boeing vs. SunPower rotational program

I'm graduating in May from undergrad, and am evaluating two programs.

Boeing

3-4 year program Puget Sound Area (Renton/Everett) 55k starting salary

Particularly attracted to the brand name, stability of career, and doors it will open in the future. Pay is a bit low but the Puget Sound region is not that expensive. Very secure, cushy job, never really more than 40 hours per week.

SunPower

2 year program Silicon Valley (San Jose) 75k starting salary

Promotion upon leaving program. Salary will scale much faster. One of the top Solar companies in the US. Lots of growth in the solar industry expected. Really excited about solar in general. Worried about not being in f500. Solar is also dependent on government policy to a degree so its risky. San Jose CoL is insane. 40 hours a week is rare, usually 50.

Which would you choose, from a purely financial/career perspective? Objectively, it's hard to decide. I think my enthusiasm for solar may be clouding my judgement. Most people in my life have never even heard of SunPower, and Boeing is seen as a very good place to work.

Thanks! Appreciate the feedback.

I think with Boeing it really depends on the team you end up at. There are lots of positions at scattered business units where career advancement will be slow.

It should be noted that Boeing has two business rotation programs;

Business Career Foundation Program 2 years, 4 rotations, leadership development, prestigious, selective, promotion upon exiting program, higher starting pay.

Business Skills Rotation Program 3-4 years, 3-4 rotations, no leadership development, essentially how they hire all new business grads, no guaranteed promotion upon exiting program.

I'm evaluating the 2nd program here.
