Career in Revenue Strategy & Analytics?

Hi all,

A quick background about myself - I come from B4 Vals + Corp. Dev. background in Canada, and am currently thinking about transitioning into a role more focused on organic growth as opposed to transactions.

I recently came across a role in Revenue Strategy and Analytics at a tech company and was wondering if anyone could provide insight into what these roles entail, and share their experience? Also curious about future career path and compensation structure, and how the hours are on a typical day.

Here is the job description, and thanks in advance:

________________________________________________________________________

What your team does:

Revenue Operations (RevOps) is hyper-focused on driving growth by accelerating our go-to-market (GTM) teams. The core mandate of the Revenue Strategy & Analytics team within RevOps is to connect goals and strategies, enable data-driven decision-making, and provide source-of-truth performance reporting. We look for curious people that build partnerships across the business, are passionate about data, and enjoy finding solutions to ambiguous challenges.

What you’ll work on:

  • Deliver end-to-end revenue funnel analysis to inform go-to-market (GTM) activities and opportunities.
  • Communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders across the GTM teams.
  • Monitor and refine KPIs used to measure the health of our GTM strategy.
  • Translate data into insightful dashboards and reports in Salesforce & Looker.
  • Proactively identify and detect performance anomalies for action by revenue-generating teams.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis to support planning and decision-making for GTM leadership.
  • Partner with stakeholders across the business to identify opportunities and measure the impact of strategic initiatives and experiments.
