CF vs. Corporate Banking / Asset Management
To each other, how would these jobs compare in term of:
- Specific jobs as junior/analysts
- Pays, bonuses, and progressions. Is hierarchy as rigid as one in IB?
- Hours. I think CF would be around 40hours/week, but how about CB or AM? Do these careers enable you to live a life? (60hours)
- Competition to get in from a semi-target.
- Accounting or Finance major?
Honestly not really looking for exit opps but steady and great progression career-wise. Would also love a mix of quantitative and communication skills.
Undecided about CF and CB (Originally Posted: 01/08/2014)
I'm going to graduate in May and I still can't decide whether I want to go into corporate finance or Banking. My plan right now is to apply for LDP's at various banks and after completion decide which area I want to go in to. Does anyone know any good LDP's at banks? What do you guys think about my strategy?
