Seeing as the rest of the forums on here have ample salary info, I thought we should have one too.
Just got an FDP offer for 65k base, 6k signing bonus and 3.5k annual bonus.
Would love to hear everyone else’s input whether you are a first year FDP or post MBA CorpDev/Strat guy!

I have no clue what a tier 2 city is. How about name the state or a group of 3 states
When I joined a FDP out of school I was at 60 base + 5k sign on + 6k bonus (~3.5 years ago). The program later raised base to 65k and lowered bonuses to 5%.
Tier 1 city (NYC/SF).
I left after 3 years for about double the pay (all-in) from what I started out at post UG.

Sure - I went to a small program (2-3 hires a year) at a mid-F500 tech company. Rotations were all high exposure and I had good reviews. In my third and final rotation I got great experience working on a large debt financing to support a large deal. I was asked to join the team permanently ~1/2 way through the rotation. I accepted and finished out the year but then thought it was a good time to look external.
I interviewed at several blue chip tech companies both pre and post IPO plus a few consulting roles. I ended up taking an offer to work directly for the CEO/CFO of a smallish portfolio company (100M) in an unsexy industry, which at the time I joined was struggling (still is), to help with a turnaround. I wanted a role that had a wide scope and this felt like a unique opportunity.
I started 3 years ago for $57k base, $3k sign-on, and tiny single digit profit sharing. This was an A&D FLDP with some people starting on the coasts, others in cheaper central cities.
Recently changed industries with a base of $88k, target bonus of 8%

I'm in the utilities industry- the industry and general flavor of finance here seem like a better fit. I'm in a mostly low COL area
Seems super reasonable for FDP out of undergrad in New England. I joined my company with 2 years work experience and was in the mid 80s between base and bonus (no sign) that first year. As someone else mentioned, city and industry are the two biggest variables when determining corp fin comp.

Nope. Spread out between many cities around the US. Some high COL; some relatively low. Do you know what type of rotations are open to you?
Former Strategy right out of school - Tier z city out in the middle of nowhere - starting salary 60k base, 8% bonus, 5k sign-on/relocation bonus.
Director, 160k base, 30% ye target bonus, 20k sign on, t2 city
Sr mgr, 135-143k base, 20% ye target, t2
Manager, 114-125k base, 20% ye target, 10k sign on, t2
sr analyst, 92-100k base, 12% ye target, 5k sign on, t2
If you don't mind me asking, what industry are you in? These figures seem kinda high relative to my firm at the SA and manager level, particularly for the ye target bonus %.
