Corporate Development Industry Switch

Currently in a consumer focused corp dev role (large company 4-5Bn a year, highly acquisitive), is it possible to switch into a tech focused corp dev role after 2-3 years?

You will definitely be able to get interviews so long as deals are closed under your watch (I moved from Manufacturing to Healthcare and biggest key was having some deals closed), the key is just showing you can quickly learn and understand new markets.
