Corporate Finance vs Transnational Services

Hey everyone, I'm currently about to start my penultimate year at university after the summer break, I will be mainly applying for IB internships but due to the fact how competitive a spot on SA programme is I will be applying to Corporate Finance and Transactional Services too. I'm applying to these as a back up in a way because if I were to get offered a full-time role at the end of the internship I'd accept it as I've heard one of these positions can lead to an exit opportunity to jump over to IB. What I'm for is to find out any information from anyone currently in one of these two roles or someone who has already jumped ship to IB M&A, I'd like to find out the intangible skills that one could learn from these two roles and also in your opinion which role would be more beneficial to someone like me who is hoping to transfer to M&A.

I appreciate any feedback that you can offer me.

Thanks Stephen

Corporate finance definition is widely different on USA and Europe&ME. As in US it stands for FP&A roles that is combination of accounting, analysis and planning. Whereas, 8n Europe to mean typically M&A work. IMHO TAS is better than FP&A and M&A definatlly better than TAS.
