Deutsche Bank GTB Summer Analyst Internship

Hello All. First time poster and long time reader. I've recently accepted an offer from DB as a SA in Global Transaction Banking. Where does this group fall in terms of the bank's line of business. I know its not IB, but its in the "Corporate and Investment Banking" division according to the website. It is also revenue generating and client facing, so that would lead me to believe it's FO. Not 100% sure of my understanding right now - clarification would be helpful. Thanks.

What's with this FO/MO/BO nitpicking bullshit? You're either in a traditional, well compensated role that offers great exit options or you're not. You're not going to put "front office" on your resume are you? No. You'll put what you actually did there and let the others decide the quality of that stated experience.

With that said, GTB is kind of like JPM's TSS group I think. Asset and securities lending, cash management services, trade finance...The roles within those groups vary as well...some are better than others. You can be the guy executing the lending trades or the guy reconciling spreadsheets and running reports.

Under my tutelage, you will grow from boys to men. From men into gladiators. And from gladiators into SWANSONS.

Hahaha. It's WSO, what else can you expect?
