Entry-Level Financial Analyst Inquiry

I am an undergraduate finance student at California State University, Northridge and plan to graduate in 2015. I am hoping to work as an entry-level Financial Analyst after I graduate. My expected overall GPA will be 3.2 - 3.3, and my expected major GPA will be above 3.5. I am taking the Chartered Financial Analyst Level I exam later this year, and I do not have any internship experience thus far.

I would like to gather insight in the likelihood that I will be able to work in corporate finance in a well-known, large company after I graduate. I do not know if companies will be impressed by my resume, while they could be receiving others from people who graduated from UCLA or USC and with higher GPAs. Will I need to work in another finance field to first gain experience? Should I expect smaller companies to be more viable options?

Thank you in advance for any advice provided.
