Currently a first-year MBA that is interested in pursuing a role with the Controller's Group at ExxonMobil this summer. Does anyone have any information regarding this program? Specifically interested in comp (during the internship and full-time), campus lifestyle, rotational aspect, etc.

Post mba pay is ~130k from what I’ve heard. However, this doesn’t include some great benefits like a pension. The campus is amazing and a great place to work. The rotational aspect can be a pain as it is possible to be placed in a plant’s local controllers group. The sites do not have the same amenities as the campus and the culture is very unique to every site. It’s a good gig but would recommend treasurers if you can. Much more interesting work.

Intern comp is about 10K-11k per month and fulltime is about 120k with no bonus but you do get a pension. Treasuries is hard to come by since they do not hire many ppl each year but i have seen ppl did well for during the controller internship and switch to treasurers.
How competitive would you say the interview process was for Controller's? From what I've heard, most of the interviews are behavioral and fit in nature.
There will be some basic technicals involved but fit is a big part for sure. For my school, they usually interview about 10 ppl for internships and maybe take 2-3 each year.
