Final round expectations for an Investor relations position

I'm coming up on the final round for an IR analyst position at a large PE fund.

So far I've done an HR screener, 1:1 with the MD of the team, completed a 6-hour case study and I've now been scheduled for a 2-on-1 30-minute Zoom with another MD and VP plus a 1-on-1 with the Head of IR.

I was wondering if anyone had any tips/insight into what to expect from these final round interviews. I asked the recruiter and she said she'd get back to me but just wanted to ask on here to see if anyone has gone through something similar.

Thanks in advance!

Based on the most helpful WSO content, final rounds tend to be more for 'confirmation' or 'ranking'. If it is with a bunch of senior people and it's for an associate role then it could be for 'confirmation'. You should approach final rounds with a greater sense of confidence, they want to make sure you can fit in the culture, the earlier interviews have likely cleared you in the ability to do the job.

With associate level, they may be picking the top 3 out of 5 invited for final rounds, the more that is the case the more "tough" questions you may get. Still, I think being a bit more confident in your approach is advised, they want to see that you WANT the job.

In terms of the Investor Relations role, you might be asked about creating marketing decks, sitting in on/participating in most LP meetings / communication, facilitating first parts of co-investments if needed, and helping out with reporting.

Remember, they want to see that you're outgoing in nature and actually enjoy "client-type" work versus living and breathing analyses. Show them that you're ready to deal with the hours and the responsibilities that come with the role. Good luck!
