Prospective jobs for Canadian BA Financial Economics

So I've recently been wondering what kind of jobs I can get with my BA in Financial Economics at Western. I'm interested in banking roles; corporate banking, financial analyst, etc.

I'm in second year with no internships lined up this summer. I want to use my time this summer and get ahead in the recruitment cycle for next year. I want to know if these kinds of jobs are open to Financial Econ students and what I can do to set my self up for them. Also wondering if it would be wise to pair major with CS in order to make myself more marketable?

I do not see myself doing a masters or phd in Economics, but rather and MBA & a CFA/CPA? Eventually

I also have a special interest in Asset Management, but I understand that passive management is becoming increasingly popular, making it a risky career choice.

I ultimately want to work in Private Equity and want to know what the most straightforward path would be in my situation.

Thanks!
