finance to corp dev
I have been working for a company's finance dept for 2+ years now. Been involved in various finance functions such as investor relations, strategy, bus dev, and M&A. There is an open corp dev role within the company and I would like to hear some thoughts / strategies on how to ask for the job. I have a few ideas including: have necessary skill set and I know the industry (won't have to teach new hire industry, business model, company's culture).
Interested in hearing about people who have gone through this before or general thoughts on how to convince the hiring manager. Thanks.
