Financial Management Analyst Program at Bank of America
I recently received an invitation for an in-person interview for the Financial Management Analyst Program (FMAP) at Bank of America. Has anyone been part of this program and can offer me some advice for the interview process and some insight on the role I will be performing?
Interview should mostly be behavioral based, but have heard it can include some technical questions relating to current events, the markets or the bank itself. Also be prepared to answer simple finance questions such as relating the 3 financial statements to each other.
The program is rotational once you enter it full time. As an intern, you will be placed in a BO or MO support role. MO roles tend to support capital market functions whereas some BO roles will support internal finance teams or wealth management divisions. There should be a flyer online somewhere that details all the groups one can potentially be selected for. The selection process is random, however I believe they give the strongest kids (or from the best schools) placement into BoFA's GBAM groups (Global Banking and Markets).
Did you receive an interview through OCR or online application from the Bank?
I received the interview through OCR. Do you think it is a good role to start my career?
Depends on what you want your career to be, It won't hurt to have a BB name on your resume though.
I completely agree with you
