Investor Relations Internship in Fortune 500? (Europe)

Hello all monkeys,

I am doing a MSc in a semi-target University in Europe. I might have the possibility of doing an internship in the headquarters of a F500 company in Europe, in the department of Investor Relations.

My main goal is to end up in corporate finance (M&A, Front Office if possible) or PE.

My question is, will this internship help me or is just 'one internship more'? What exit opportunities will it ease for me? Is it valuable for the roles I want to end up in?

Please bear in mind that we are talking about Europe and when I finish the MSc I'd like to move to London to find a finance related job.
