is there a software for audit management?

Is there a software that we can use to help our auditors and audit department manage all aspects of the audit process? a software that will allow us to create audit plans, one that can generate a comprehensive audit report for all audits within the system. Does anyone know where I can find one?

To my knowledge most audit firms have internally developed audit planning tools. That being said, it may be worth checking out Blackline Task. Blackline is traditionally an account reconciliation software but task is meant to be utilized for close management. I've seen it used as an audit tool as well by tracking PBC items, status, and has a reporting capability to it. It also lets you specify teams, dependencies, etc. Tritech Cadence has alot of these same capabilities.

Like I mentioned, not the traditional use of the tool but can give you everything is sounds like your looking for without having to manually update some project plan on a sharedrive or some shit.

The team at a previous company where I interned (we're talking like 2010 here) used PwC's software to manage the audit process internally. Most of the group was ex-PwC and that firm was the company's primary auditor, so either they provide it to clients as part of their engagement or the company-facing version is commercially available. I am pretty sure it was used for routine internal auditing, as opposed to just in conjunction with the external review. I remember it being very well-designed and intuitive.

Thanks for the replies. Well, yeah, auditors have their own ways and I think I should not really be bothered with how an audit will flow. Anyway, I guess, what I was really trying to say is that, maybe there is a way for companies to be in an http://blog.versesolutions.com/how-to-maintain-an-audit-ready-state-and…</a">audit ready state. I know the preparation itself is time consuming but maybe, there are some ways to simplify the task.
