Question in the title basically...
I know Disney for example has a team called corporate strategy and business development that hire undergrad interns, though mostly from Harvard/Wharton and with banking experience in top TMT groups already. Is there anything similar out there? What are the top corp dev internships for undergrads?
American Express's Strategic Planning Group hires both interns and full-time candidates but mainly recruits from about 4-5 target schools including Ross and Wharton.
LinkedIn has a Strategy & Analytics Business Leadership Program for both interns and full-time candidates as well.
Dropbox has a rotational Operations program, which unlike what many people think, is more involved with strategy and corp development than the BB Operations that people normally think about.
Pfizer has a Strategy & Execution program for interns and full-time candidates. It's basically the internal strategy group of the firm.
All in all, there aren't too many corporate strategy and corp dev opportunities available for people straight out of undergrad, and it makes sense. These groups make some of the biggest decisions for the company. Companies won't just hire a naive 22-year-old to make these decisions.
