M&A Corporate Development Internship Exit Opportunities
First post so here it goes.
I have an offer for a 6-12 months M&A / Corporate Development Analyst Internship at an F500 Top Life Science Consulting and Analytics company. My end goal is to end up in IB/banking. I come from a biology background (undergrad) but have a more business-related masters from a target university (top 5 globally), and have an Equity Analyst internship experience as well.
My question is, how useful will this internship be considering it's 1. corp dev and 2. not in a bank. Can I still spin it in a banker-esque way on my CV after 6-months and get my ''in'' into the banking industry? What possible roles would that be, M&A/IB or different?
Any advice is appreciated. Thanks

Corp dev is often considered to be the "in-house" banker. It also depends on your shop but I interface with bankers all the time and partner on deals. It would not be hard to establish a personal rapport and make the move later.
