MBA Programs focused on CB and/or CRE

Finished undergrad about 2.5 years ago and thinking about going back for my MBA to keep myself busy outside the 40 hr work week and hopefully further my career. Anyone know of any specific programs focused around Commercial Banking and/or Commercial Real Estate?

Have you networked??? HMMMM???? HMMM????

Seriously though, what type of role at a bigger bank are you trying to network into? Also, what are your long term goals. I may be able to provide information or advice that you find useful.

What are you current job responsibilities?

I have not networked lol. In terms of where I see myself at a larger bank, most likely a credit officer role. Maybe not someone who does the underwriting, but rather someone who is reviewing and signing off on the deal as a member of Credit with some signing authority.  I look at myself as a number cruncher rather than a people person, so I can see myself staying in the Credit and moving up the ladder.

In terms of current job responsibilities, I have a group of analysts (mostly juniors) that indirectly report to me. I help them get their footing and answer any questions they have regarding cash flow, collateral analysis, etc. I have moved away from underwriting full-time and only do it when absolutely necessary.

CB you will probably want to look at regional powerhouses that are less of a target but still place in IB like UT, UNC, Emory, Vandy, Notre Dame.

CRE the top programs are Wharton and Columbia. Any good school will have options here though in some capacity. When I was at Goldman in CRE Asset Management we took a guy from the Booth Part Time Program in.
