Next steps after FP&A
Hi I am currently and have been in a Fp&a / controller position for a few years and I see most of my colleagues just moving up vertically (i.e senior controller, Fp&a manager, etc) I am not too sure that is something I’m fully invested in becoming although that is directionally my next step. Any advice on pivots or other routes? I am interested in M&A/corp dev (being that I’m already “in-house” within my company) but understand the horizontal aspect of that. I’m fairly young as I have graduated college just about 3 years ago and now have a ton of technical forecasting, planning and budgeting experience.
Edit: I am open to anyone’s experience or thoughts whether it’s inside CF or something totally different as this current experience in finance has been closely related to the tech industry
