Switching Industries In Corporate Development
Is it a fairly common exit to switch industries within corporate development when progressing through the ranks?
I am curious as I evaluate an offer for a Senior Analyst role where I am not 100% confident of the potential growth opportunities within the firm or local opportunities in the industry.
After a few years (4-6) is it common to take a manager/director level position in corporate development in a different industry?
Hypothetically, say from manufacturing to healthcare.
Thanks - appreciate the thoughts here.
