Top Corp Pharmaceutical Summer Internships?

I'm getting a degree in finance and have a strong interest in healthcare & pharmaceuticals. I know that I should look at Pfizer/ Merck for summer before my senior year, but most of the pharmaceutical sites do not have a set online application/ recruitment email. Coming from a non-target for this area, where should I look for opportunities?

Theres a ton of amazing companies that you left out, lol. How about amgen, teva, sanofi, etc?

You should definitely look into biologics and generics.

What do you even want to do for these guys? FP&A?

FP&A or Treasury. I'm still in school so I just want some good exposure

I know that I didn't list all the major ones, I was just looking for any that have well-managed programs that have a high yield to FT

You should def focus on top corp pharmaceuticals. Internships at biologics and generics don't do much for you - though it's still better than nothing.

I actually got my job by submitting resume online in a pharmaceutical corp & went through a 3 rounds interview. Not sure about west coast but having international background/experience can definitely help in international names. If you dig around the internet you can actually find a few email addresses for resume submission. If it's doable, I would suggest you to also look at opportunities in asia or europe.

Can't speak to finance specifically since I didn't work in that dept, but breaking into pharma with only an undergrad degree is relatively difficult. Everyone I encountered while I was there had an advanced degree and years of experience. As for looking for internships, look at big companies and avoid generics/biotech if possible.

The two finance interns I ran into came from NYU stern (undergrad via diversity program) and northeastern (MBA)

This isn't true for Finance. You can definitely get into FP&A or Treasury with only an undergrad degree.

Definitely try to target the big pharma companies for internships (obviously). Any role within finance would probably work because if you get a return offer it will almost definitely be in FP&A.

If you can't get an internship with big pharma - get an internship with the best F500 company that you can. You'll lose the networking, but if you can do FP&A at GE you can do it at a big pharma.

It's getting a little late (assuming you're a jr) so get moving!

Haha I am I am. Does anyone know the biggest pharma companies that actively recruit for summer internships and out of UG? It looks like the majority just go to target schools and grab kids at these

Should I just go to a target school's F500 visit Wedding Crashers style?
