Which industries pay the best for corporate roles?

Anyone exiting from finance, consulting, accounting or law are looking for the best option when taking a corporate role which is why I'm wondering which industry pays the best?

I hear a lot about tech being one of the top industries to exit into compensation wise though what about other profitable industries like financial institutions, oil, or pharma? Do these industries pay just as well as tech? Are there any other profitable industries to go into?

I've said it before and I can't emphasize it enough... it's going to be highly dependent on the company, the location, the role, and the applicant. I've worked in, and have interviewed with, lots of different industries and have not seen a significant enough difference to warrant ranking industries from best-to-worst paying. If what you care about is salary in absolute dollars, get a job in a 1) prestigious group, 2) at a large public company w/ RSUs, 3) in a high COL city.
