Cant get a Credit Job
I am trying to get a role as an analyst in Credit Risk within CB/CIB for about 4 months now, internal hire, I have had maybe 12-15 1st/2nd rounds interviews and 4-5 3rd/4th rounds with different coverage groups. Anyone on the Credit side have any recommendations on what to be reading up on in news, technicals, behavioral that will give me a better chance of landing an offer?
Background: 2 yoe in operations role supporting loan setup with strong comms with Underwriting/ Credit Risk.
Worked in credit risk for a year. A lot of the job (corporate credit risk) is spreading financials, writing about business risks, and going over credit agreements (claims on assets, debt maturity, etc.). Make sure to look at interview questions from a creditor perspective ie. what would be the most important financial statement - CF b/c it shows ability to service debt, company could still become insolvent with positive EBITDA (income statement). Good luck!
Thanks for the input! Ill definitely work on these for any upcoming inteviews!
Best regards
It sounds like you're on your way to getting one.
I sure hope so! Hiring might change after bonuses are released or I'm hoping so.
credit risk or credit?
because credit risk is easy to get into.
credit role within CB/CIB is hard.
