Coffee chat with HH for PC - need advice

Hi Monkeys, cheers to 2024!

I’m a recent grad with experience in MM PC as an off-cycle intern and am currently finishing up an off-cycle within product strategy at a leading shop (IR). I’ve got a coffee with a headhunter from one of the top houses which I know works with PC MF’s (which is where I’d like to end up).

Upon completing this IR internship, I’ve got another internship lined up within LMM PC but I now feel I am experienced enough to join as a FT junior ideally at a large cap sophisticated MF. Ideally I could leverage into FT somehow?

How do I pitch myself and craft a good story to be properly considered?

I’m also personally interested in Special Situations investing from a credit analysis pov however I realise this is unlikely out of reach at my current experience.
