Comp for Credit Analyst?

What does/should average comp look like for a Credit Analyst at a MM CIB in a tier 2 city look like? I see a ton of stuff on here about BB CIB, which is understandable: Curious if anyone could provide insight for non-NY Chicago Corporate Banking roles comp.

Based on the most helpful WSO content, the compensation for a Credit Analyst at a middle market Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB) in a tier 2 city can vary. However, it's important to note that Corporate Banking analysts generally make a comparable amount to their Investment Banking counterparts, with approximately a ~20% haircut. For instance, if the maximum Investment Banking compensation is $250,000, the maximum Corporate Banking compensation might be around $200,000.

As you move up in job title, the disparity tends to widen. Top corporate bankers can still earn up to $400k-$1mm per year at the Managing Director (MD) level.

For more specific figures, you might want to check out the WSO Compensation Database or similar threads on the WSO forums. Remember, compensation can vary widely based on factors like the bank's size, the specific role, and the city's cost of living.
