Corporate Credit Research Entry-Level Roles?
Hi, I was wondering if anyone had an idea how many entry-level credit research positions per recruiting cycle. And also where people commonly look for these roles besides BBs and Rating agencies. I strongly considering recruiting from CLO manager internship as i'm pretty sure i want to do LO HY long-term and I'm not sure i see a path to that from CLOs
Just my two cents, but if you want to be investing in high yield debt from a long only perspective then a CLO is kind of the perfect vehicle for that. The structure is just a structure, depending on the shop you (analysts) should actually do credit fundamental work on HY credit names. So based on your stated goal, this seems like a good opportunity.
Bump— I’m trying to find a clo internship but it seems so hard to find a place that will take undergrads man
Honestly, i stumbled into the place I'm going to be interning at by mass applying to roles at AM and other firms with Credit Research or Investment Analyst (credit) roles. Definitely helped I had a dope sophomore summer internship, though they didn’t give me a return :(
