Infrastructure Advisory --> Infrastructure Lending

This summer, I'll be starting a post non-MBA masters at the infrastructure management consulting group of a large civil engineering firm. I'll be able to work on their project finance team and work on underwriting project finance transactions aswell as some strategy aspects, without actually issuing the debt ourselves. I think that after I've gotten my reps in that I'll be interested in jumping towards a project finance or infrastructure corporate banking group at a bank in New York City, probably one of the European or Japanese balance-sheet banks. Beyond networking once I'm on the ground this summer, what should I be looking at to jump to infrastructure debt or credit after a year.
