Minneapolis private funds/distressed credit/mezzanine debt

I have been a commercial banking underwriter for a couple years and am looking to make the transition to smaller fund over the next few months. Ideally, I would like to start in an analytical/portfolio management role with the opportunity to slowly transition into an investor relations/business development role. Can anyone provide insight on potential firms in Minnesota that are looking for these roles or suggest specific firms that would be good to look into?

Think Varde, Castlelake, CarVal, etc…

Thank you!
