Stellus Capital?

Anyone have color on Stellus Capital Management based out of Houston? Haven't seen any prior discussion on them. Looks like their latest fundraise was in 2022 at $1.8bn, and they have $3.4bn AUM as of their latest filing.

From my interactions with people there, seems like a solid shop with very strong seniors given their DE Shaw heritage. Junior comp is slightly below street but you'd probably still come out ahead since it's Texas.

There is high turnover at the junior level, but it's mostly because it's hard to make VP than anything else. Probably not the place to be if you are set on making VP, but you'd still have good lateral opportunities.

always been curious. I think Stellus and Main Cap are the two direct lenders in Houston no? I've never heard of anyone else.
