Structured Credit Fund out of Undergrad
Currently interviewing with some structured credit/securitized products buyside firms and was wondering what this forum thinks of starting out in a CLO/ABS manager or structured credit hedge fund? I'm still in school but my experience in securitize products I think is somewhat unique amongst undergrads. What is sort of the outlook and trend on fee structures on these type of funds? In my limited experience I think they are usually run pretty lean on a headcount to aum perspective. Is it easy to move from these funds to credit investing or macro if I think the asset class is too narrow later on?
