Anyone IB analysts actually invest in bitcoin?

yeah but coinbase fucking sucks. It's always down when you need it most. Anyone have any luck with other platforms. Have heard gemini also goes down, havent heard much about binance.

Given that analysts have so many trading restrictions to the point where only a SPY ETF is really able to be freely moved around, I'd be surprised if people on the IB/private side weren't taking advantage of crypto. Call it crazy or gambling, but it's really the only high risk-reward investment they could get involved in that doesn't take a ton of time. 

Coinbase fees are a joke. They charge 1.5% per trade plus a 0.5% spread so 2% in total per trade.
 

Does anyone know any good platforms that don’t charge ridiculously high fees?

Bought in at around 9k during the summer and have 4x’d a measly four figures into five figures. Kicking myself as I had six figures in cash on the sidelines at the time and thought about investing more. Always depressing to see the degenerates who truly yolo their life savings into crypto and make a killing while unemployed in their parents basement.
