Pretty legit firm and one of the oldest market makers in the crypto space. Founder, the G in GSR traded commodities at Goldman for awhile before briefly retiring with his wife (who leads the HR process last time I checked) and then jumped back into the action after they learned what Bitcoin was. Team's spread out globally (Spain, Chicago, NYC, etc) and I believe they've been looking to expand in various roles - just took a peek, yup they really ramped up as when I was interviewing, there were like 2 roles open back then lol.

Role I applied then is most likely different from what you're interested in and/or evolved a lot but here's what I went through: behavioral interview with HR then a couple traders. One of them then assigned me a multi data-scraping/options greeks/risk management/P&L coding project that took about a week. In the end, I didn't get the role but thought it was a really fun and comprehensive assignment that's quite illustrative of a typical trading role. There's a decent chance that might not even be the standardized process and he decided to cater the constraints based on my resume, but who knows. Besides the usual skillset, I would definitely know crypto - they're not going to grill you on technicals per se, but crypto itself is a pretty niche subculture so it makes it much easier to talk shop and bond over. It'd be a bit analogous to being able to give an elevator pitch on what your favorite stocks are, your thesis on market outlook, etc.

If you're really interested in crypto and believe in the future of it, working here would probably be an incredible opportunity.

Nice, yeah unfortunately can't comment on comp but I would imagine it's very competitive as they are one of the top dogs in the space (maybe yours is too for all I know). I personally think growth & long term opportunities are far more important factors than comp at this stage in your career, but if you can win in all the categories, more power to you, good luck!
